Lumped Element 180o
Hybdir Coupler
The example documented here is a 4-port hybrid
consisting of "ideal" lumped elements like inductors
and capacitors. This type of circuit is applicable for balanced
mixers for example. The complete schematic representation is
given in Figure 9-10. Figures 9-11 shows the layout of the
circuit. Most of the circuit is built in level 2 in order to keep
the losses low (in the default foundry level 1 has a smaller
thickness than the level 2). The results are plotted in Figure
9_12.
