Getting a better understanding of the physical world by mathematical modeling of its behavior is a common practice in engineering. Simulation of such models and their behaviour is a quick and effective way to understand, to design, and to optimize components and systems without the need to build and modify them in the real world.
Mathematical modelling and simulation based on physics and/or measurement data have a long tradition at IMST. We offer modelling and simulation services for the following domains:

  • Antenna design, placement analysis and optimization, e.g. in the automotive and industrial sector by means of EM field simulation
  • Radio channel modelling and simulation for design and optimization of modern radio systems (radar and communication)
  • component models for electronic elements and the simulation of their electromagnetic characteristics
  • Modeling and simulation of the specific absorption rates (SAR) of electromagnetic waves penetrating the human head or body, e.g. for mobile phones
